Artist's Comments

Yeah, about 1 year ago I put up a comic called "Deidara and the Nuke" which has become my most popular drawing. The other day :iconnarutolover1993: commented on it and gave me the motivation to go and redo it (something which is normally really hard for me to do... Get the motivation, to start). So long story short, here it is. I think it is a pretty good improvement to my old picture.

Here's a picture to my original version: [link]

It is only with the heart that one can see rightly; what is essential is invisible to the eye.

Thanks. Yeah, I really like it. I just put on some music and drew this for like bloody 1 hour and a half or something (I had this one song that I am obsessed with at the moment playing on repeat, and it went played 42 times... So most probably more than that...). But it was really fun doing it anyway! And thanks for the fav again!

Yeah boi. But it it's much more funny if you watch Naruto (more importantly Shippuuden [the one that's 2 years in the future from original]). That guy is called Deidara. He's a member of Akatsuki and his ability is that he carries around clay with him and makes them into little clay models, which he can then poof into giant size (so he makes a small owl or something, then "poofs" it into a giant one which he can ride around) then he can also use his clay as bombs. So he creates birds/ spiders/ whatever models and they fly/ walk up to their opponents and then he can make them blow up.

He's obsessed with explosions and calls them "art". In the manga when he's fighting Sasuke he ends up blowing up himself because fricken Sasuke found his weakness... Stupid lightning chakra beating Earth type jutsu for some stupid reason (I mean why? Lighting doesn't effect earth?!)... The explosion he makes is basically the size of an atomic bomb I think... I dunno... It's fricken huge, but still, stupid Sasuke survives because he abuses summoning...

And yeah, so that's why this picture is more funny if you are up to date with Naruto. Another part is that Deidara is meant to be being modest here, the nuke is more powerful I THINK than his self destruct, so he just says "is my artistic equal" to not show his acceptance of someone better than him... yeah... Good Stuff...

EEK! It's awesome! XD

Good job! You have improved. :)

I like it!

Mwahahahahaha. Thanks. Yeah, I really noticed the difference when I finished. The main difference that I notice is the made up character who is the guy who invented the "nuke". I used to really suck at making up people, the only reason I was even fairly good at non-made up characters (meaning people from actual shows, like Deidara, Naruto, etc.) was because I really looked at them in the show so I could see how to draw them. But after this year I guess I've learned more about HOW the artists make their characters look good, and can use it for myself, instead of just copying my mental image of the character, and not realizing why it makes it look good.

The only thing that's stopping me from doing fights and things in comics is that I find it really hard to draw the body correctly while they are performing an action. You can see it in this picture as well. In the first frame, how his right arm is bent up and he's pointing at the diagram. The bend at the elbow doesn't look natural. I have no idea on how to fix this. And it only gets worse when I try to do more complicated things... And far worse when a part of the body is closer to the "camera" than another part. Like say the character is pointing towards the "camera" I cannot make the hand look the correct size, or have the arm look natural... It really annoys me, since I want to start a comic series, but I don't want to start until I can draw anything I want to (it doesn't have to be perfect, but good enough for it look natural), since then I would have to shape the scenes to my drawing ability, and might not be able to draw some things that I really want to... *sigh* annoying...

Lol, rant much... Sometimes I just get into a really talkative mood and start talking about stuff which is completely different...

Here, take a look at these: [link] and [link]

maybe these will help :D

Although I agree, I started a Naruto comic, although I don't have the motivation to go on really... maybe you could look and tell me what you think? And maybe how to make links on a page after you've already submitted it, lol.

Yeah, I've tried to draw pictures of anime where hands are reaching toward the camera, I'm not good at that either :XD:
